Andre has approximately 21 years of experience as a senior HR professional in a variety of industries, including telecommunications, consulting, mining, finance and government. His roles in corporate environments included that of HR Executive, Manager: Strategy & Remuneration, OD and Training Manager and Head: Training & Personnel Services.


He has extensive experience in the HR field, notably OD, Performance Management, Negotiation Skills Training, Job Profiling and Competency Analysis, Training & Development, high level facilitation (including focus groups and large scale interventions), Policy and Procedures, Recruitment and Selection, and facilitating Strategic Planning Workshops with senior management. Andre also conducts HR Effectiveness Reviews for clients (amongst others Pratt & Whitney, Anglo, Manica Group, etc.).


Andre worked at organisations in both South Africa and Namibia (he is a born Namibian). Employers include Rössing Uranium Mine (a part of the global Rio Tinto Group), Telecom Namibia, Deloitte & Touche Human Capital Corporation and the Northwest Development Corporation.


Andre has been part of large-scale change projects (including ERP’s such as SAP R/3 implementations, cost-reduction initiatives, performance management implementations, policy development, etc.).


Andre was also a Principal Consultant with Deloitte & Touche Human Capital Corporation, consulting in the Strategic Change & Development Division. Currently he is an independent HR consultant, consulting in countries such as South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Mauritius, Ghana, Namibia and Botswana.
